Famililook is designed to help a family explore visible similarities together. The software supplies observations; the people taking part decide what feels meaningful and whether they want to continue.
The proposed activity flow
- Agree to take part. An adult should explain the activity, confirm that each photograph can be used and make it easy for anyone to say no. A family can stop, replace an image or leave the activity at any point.
- Choose clear photographs. Front-facing images, even lighting and natural expressions make visual comparison easier. Avoid covered faces, heavy filters and photographs taken from very different angles.
- Review observations together. The experience compares visible details and presents them as conversation prompts. Lighting, expression, image quality and normal variation can all affect what appears similar.
- Add your own context. Family members can discuss familiar expressions, tell the story behind a photograph and disagree with the software. The human conversation is more important than an automated summary.
- Choose whether to make something. If product gates later pass, a family may be able to approve names, wording and a keepsake layout. No product action is available from this public guide.
What the activity can do
It can provide a consistent structure for looking at visible facial details and help people notice features they want to discuss. It can make a family photo session feel more playful and give relatives a reason to share memories about expressions, childhood pictures or familiar poses.
It can also help shape a creative keepsake concept once the family has reviewed and approved the content. That creative use remains separate from any scientific or legal interpretation.
What it cannot do
It does not establish identity, DNA, ancestry, genetics or parentage. It cannot replace professional advice, official records or a properly validated scientific process. It should not be used to challenge a family relationship or make a decision about another person.
Results are approximate visual observations for entertainment. If the activity could cause distress or conflict, the responsible choice is to stop and use a different family activity.

Read the photograph guidance before selecting any image, especially when a child appears in it. Use only material you are authorised to use, keep the purpose clear and avoid adding sensitive personal information to names or messages.
